Do you know what season you are in?
The shorter days and colder temps tell my chickens it’s time to molt.
What does that mean? For my non chicken experts this means that the chickens stop laying eggs for the most part and they redirect that energy into growing new feathers.
The impact of this season on my family is that we have LESS eggs. Or, because I know this season is coming, I have eggs stored up from the spring when the chickens are laying LIKE CRAZY!!!!!
So, I’m eating saved eggs during this season.
