Do you suffer from FOFO?

Do you suffer from FOFO?

FOFO has long been observed in medicine as patients often don’t want to know if they are suffering from a particular malady.  Sort of a 'wait-and-see' approach.

Like...why I haven't completed the 'recommended' testing for my age group... 😳

The problem is that we can’t solve problems until we confront them.

“Revealing the realities of work can bring unfavorable information that requires action and challenges the comfortable status quo and carefully crafted worldview. It can make deniability difficult, it requires action, and potentially raises difficult questions.”

Brave leaders reject the impact of FOFO and actively seek all information that may be actionable.

The problem NAMED and the problem KNOWN is the problem solved!

A recent INC article suggests we may fear finding out for several reasons.

▶️ You might find out something you are ill-equipped to handle.
▶️ You might find out something that reveals failure or lapses on your part.
▶️ You might find out something that makes your current situation less comfortable.

Yes, these fears are real.
AND these fears may come true.

#Bad@$$ Vistage Worldwide, Inc. leaders help each other with these fears and thoughts.

Once again...
The problem NAMED and the problem KNOWN is the problem solved!

Questions we ask each other are:

❓❓"What do you really want?"
❓❓ "What do you care most about?"
❓❓ "What is the worst thing that could happen, and if it did, what would you do?"

When we flesh out those answers....we can identify ACTIONS 🤩🔦⚒ that lead you away from fear and towards the outcomes and results that mean the most.

Check out the article for more on FOFO... and lean into the peers around you to find out where you are on this journey.
